For years, Blake and Robert Mellecker saw clients facing mountains of paperwork generated by building ownership, and they had an idea. The father and son partners hired Forge to help finalize their concept, prioritize the development process, establish a brand and ultimately bring their idea to market. GreenBear became a successful online documentation storage program to modernize and simplify building management.

The Forge team took a deep dive to establish insight into the needs, wants and desires of prospective users of GreenBear software. By understanding the real-world issues of the brand’s target audience, we established a stronger, more relevant brand image, clearer brand voice and more impactful messaging.

Positioning Business for the Future

The Leonard Auction team saw an opportunity for rapid growth with strong existing sales and a key competitor closing its doors. First, they needed to recruit key staff members from the competitor, then reorganize the entire business model to accommodate growth and change. The process would culminate in a refreshed brand architecture to unify the entire business.

Forge worked with the leadership team to identify company positioning, better define growth goals and establish clearly-defined expectations of the team. By identifying their target audiences, we helped the team focus on customers with the highest potential for profit and repeat business.

The Leonard Company was created to oversee three core service divisions: Auctions, Appraisals, and Concierge services. This helped the team maintain focus, stay in their respective lanes, and work cooperatively for the benefit of both the company and its customers. Forge provided a comprehensive identity system for the entire organization, as well as initial marketing materials to launch the refreshed brand.

Elevating a Legacy Brand
into a Market Leader

With a long history in RV manufacturing, Heartland faced a rising sea of competition with undifferentiated product, a vague market position and an undefined audience. Heartland needed to quickly regain market relevance among consumers interested in the spontaneous, unrestricted travel offered by the RV lifestyle.

Forge defined the mindset of Heartland’s two key audiences: freedom-seeking Consumers and RV Dealers. We created brand meaning for the first time in the company’s history, culminating in the brand essence, “Launching Life’s Journeys”. We identified purpose for employees with a differentiating statement “We are RV lovers building RV’s for people who love RV’s”.

A fresh brand identity, visual template system and communication matrix provided Heartland’s marketing team the tools needed to quickly roll out marketing materials across multiple consumer touchpoints.
